Alcuin completes exit from Jigsaw24 following sale to Academia Group
Alcuin is pleased to announce that it has exited its investment in Jigsaw24, the UK’s largest B2B Apple reseller, following the company’s sale to Academia Group.
The transaction brings together two businesses to create one of the UK’s leading independent technology solutions groups, with combined annual revenues of £350 million. Jigsaw24 and Academia Group each hold strong market positions and long-standing customer relationships, with complementary expertise spanning Apple, Microsoft, Adobe, managed services, cyber security, cloud and professional services.
The acquisition significantly enhances the enlarged group’s scale, capabilities and presence across the education, public sector and commercial markets, providing a strong platform for further growth.
Adrian Lurie, Partner at Alcuin, said: “We are delighted to have supported Jigsaw 24 on its journey and are proud of what David and Rob have achieved as they transitioned leadership from founders Roger and John. We wish them and their team every future success.”
David Dudman, CEO of Jigsaw24, said: “This is an exciting new chapter for Jigsaw24 and a significant opportunity for our people, customers and partners. Joining a Group of this scale allows us to build on our specialist expertise and strong customer relationships while expanding the services and solutions we can offer. We look forward to playing an important role in the Group’s next phase of growth.”
Mark McCormack, Group Managing Director of Academia Group, said: “Jigsaw24 is a business we’ve known and respected for many years, with talented people, strong customer relationships and capabilities that complement our own extremely well. Bringing these organisations together gives us the scale and expertise to accelerate that momentum. Our focus is on building on the strengths of both businesses, investing in our people and capabilities, and delivering even greater value to our customers and partners.”
